Terms of Service

Last updated: June 3, 2026

First Faith is a devotional companion — not a substitute for professional, medical, mental-health, or pastoral care. If you are in crisis or need help, please reach out to a qualified professional or someone you trust.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [Legal Entity Name] (“we,” “us”) governing your use of the First Faith application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

1. What First Faith does

First Faith helps you give God the first moment of your day. You may choose certain apps to keep locked each morning until you take a moment with Scripture and prayer, after which they unlock for the day. The App relies on the honor system: it is a gentle, intentional pause, not an unbypassable lock, and it does not verify whether you have prayed. Because of how iOS works, the lock can be removed or worked around, and we make no guarantee that it cannot be bypassed.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.

3. Subscriptions, free trial & billing

  • First Faith offers an auto-renewing subscription, which may begin with a free trial. The price, billing period, and trial length are shown in the App before you subscribe.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. If you start a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device’s Settings under your Apple ID. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • A minimal morning verse-and-prayer remains available without a subscription. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service.

4. Scripture & prayers

Scripture in the App is drawn from public-domain translations. Prayers and devotional content are provided for your personal spiritual use, as-is. We aim for reverence and accuracy; if you spot an error, we welcome hearing about it.

5. Acceptable use

Please don’t misuse the App: don’t attempt to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it in any unlawful way.

6. No professional advice

The App offers spiritual encouragement, not professional advice. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial, legal, or pastoral counsel. If you are experiencing a crisis or a medical or mental-health emergency, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the morning lock will function in every circumstance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions? Email support@firstfaith.app.
